Old school HKS FMIC

Hey guys, I'm looking for pics of an engine bay with the old school HKS FMIC installed. I picked one up on ebay, and I'd like to see what it looks like installed. I know I'll be able to piece it together , but if someone's got some pics, it could save me some time. Thanks

I have mine installed slightly.. haha. its pretty easy to figure out.. If you have a fax I can fax you a copy of the original instructions from HKS.
Heres a few pics of mine.. Its just pretty much mocked up on the engine bay as I still have a lot of stuff to finish up before I actually install it all

I paid 350 for mine and it was BRAND new.. Im going to replace all the couplers and clamps though. I dont like those radiator clamps or those orange couplers that come with the kit. :/

Yeah, they go from $300 to $600 through out various forums and eBay. They're pretty rare since most people buy the Greddy unit.

Anybody actually own the new style HKS kit? I cant find a pic of the actual kit on the web. They only show the generic marketing picture.
So...anyone have one installed?

Kind of related.

Has anyone bought and used the Godspeed clone of the IC?

If your up to making your own piping that's not a bad option if the real deal isn't available.

I was going to go with the newer style greddy or HKS FMIC.. but it requires removal of the front bumper for installation.. my FC2000 Front bumper is molded on to my car so that was out of the question. . Its okay though cause I live in Vegas, so Im going to be putting AC back into my car real soon since it will be a street driven car. This kit requires only one small cut to be made right next to the rad.. and thats it. you keep PS, AC, and battery in stock location..

As for power... Im really wanting to know that question myself. I was thinking of PMing kevin of RR to ask him about it.. But im sure ill find an answer to that soon

The trust IC has 2 styles I believe.

3 and 4 row sizes if I remember right so you can get one according to the power your looking for.

Jrat ran it with 300rw+ power for a while. Not sure what row one he had though.

How do you route the pipe after the intercooler? Does it go through the radiator support?

Affirmative. You will need to move the resistor pack a little bit so the piping will clear and cut a 3" hole in the radiator support. I used a cutting torch.

Does anyone have pics of where they made their hole? I bought this item used, and therefore I have no instructions.

Ill snap some pics for you in a sec.. I hella cut a big *** whole.. The only thing I had available to cut with was a grinder with a 4 1/2" disc.. So in order to cut the hole in the right place.. I had to cut a little more then neccesary.. Ill post a pic for you in about an hour or so though

You don't need a pic. Even the HKS instructions are all hand drawn pics. It goes into the side of the radiator mount right at the base so the pipe slips right in front of the radiator. You will have to turn the resistor pack mounted there.

Cut a 3 1/2" hole. I recommend removing as much metal as you can so you can situate the pipe just right - makes fitment easier. Line the edges of the hole with a rubber hose you have split down the middle.

Looks kinda like this?
