ok, so i have to know for sure!

I've read tons of threads on wheel sizes, but i need to know for sure whether or not a 17x7 with a +40 offset will work with a 215 or a 225 x45x17 tire with out rubbing and with out having to use spacers?

i had 17x7 rims with +40mm offset with 215/45 tires on and they were fine...no rubbing up front. i could fit my index finger between the sidewall and the spring.

225's "might" fit...

thanks, i'll be buying wheels that come with 215s, so it's good to know they'll fit, but i guess i may have to buy some spacers if i upgrade to 225s on my next set.
