ok, 200 miles per tank? somethings wrong..help!

my previous s4 has great mileage..over 300 per tank. current s5 only gets about 200 per tank..about less than 50 miles per quarter tank when i check. Can anyone point me in the right direction on why i get such crappy mileage?
fuel filter was replaced i believe from previous owner just before i got it..(perhaps?)

There is a bit of it on the FAQ along with some threads.
Have you done a full tune up with the right parts?

Drive more on the freeway...

Seriously, I dunno what you were doing to hit 300 miles with your other car, but we're talking almost 20mpg.

The Zenki FC does run a smaller tank, and 200 miles per tank isn't anything bad.
I'm lucky if I get 180 miles per tank on my '87, but I do almost all city, stop-n-go driving.
If we're talking 14.0 gallon fill-up's (and that's draining the tank pretty dry), that's right at 14 and a quarter miles per gallon.

the only thing i had on the s4 to hit the 300+ per tank was intake cone/downpipe/exhaust.
current s5 i have bonez downpipe w/ cat and exhaust. now i know the intake will not make that much difference.
im pretty sure this can go much more than 200 per tank so i wanted to get some info on what i can do or change to get more out of it..perhaps new injectors, pumps..etc?

The s5 rx7's have a 18.2 gallon tank vs the s4 16.6 gallon tank... that is pretty bad milage.... maybe your 02 sensor has died or is not pluged in?

I get 240 per tank and thats running really really lean on my 88 and don't hit the secondary rpm range during daily driving.

I'd change the o2 sensor, if that gets clogged I believe the ecu will go into safe mode and run really rich. Change spark plugs if you have the money, and I always change wires with spark plugs. Make sure your temp sens is working. .... I feel like I'm repeating somethings someone said... maybe this is in the FAQ?

Mods have really nothing to do with gas mileage.

Yes, that's FULL CAPACITY.
You cannot run your tank down to the very drop.
Basically, if you're dropping it under 2 gallons left, you're asking for BIG BIG trouble in a turbo car...

Recalculate and leave the last 2 gallons of gas in the tank, and you'll see the numbers I've posted are close.

Your gas gauge might now be accurate. Mine will start showing empty around 210 miles, when infact i know i still have about 4-5 gallons of gas left in there.
