Angry oil sending unit

Ok guys here is a real dumb one for ya. I am in the middle of swapping out my 86 motor. The thing is that i cant for the life of me find the oil sending unit wires(on either engine). Now there is a little white wire coming off the harness that has been cut, but it has no harness on it. It is just a dead end wire. Also there is a little black harness into the engine block, right beside the sending unit, now i suspect that is the connecter for the sending unit. Am i correct in assuming this?
Or am i way off track?

If I'm not mistaken, the oil sender wire is yellow w/red stripe. The connector on the end is white/gray and slides up onto the sensor from the bottom.

Thanks aaron the problem is there isnt any place to connect to on the sending unit. Only that harness right beside it on the block. That is what got me dumbfounded. But i will play with it once i get the motor in and running.
