The needle on the gauge can be moved to any calibration you want.

Did you replace it with a brand new unit from the Mazda dealer?

Did you confirm oil pressure with a known good mechanical oil pressure gauge?

Question

i'm going to take it to a mazda dealer when the paint drys (little boddy work) and have them test it it could be the wire is messed up along the way soem ware

but it will go and point straight up , read below 0 , fluxuate and then bounce around inbetween 0 and 110 and then either drop back below 0 or back to its straight up position there is no change in the feal of the car (how it drives)

and it consumes oil at its regular pace like its suposto <---- is that spelt right lol

It sounds like a wire is broken or the grounding capacitor is not connected right.

Did you recently do a clutch job or have the transmission removed?
There's a grounding capacitor that is normally connected to the clutch slave cylinder bolt.

Actually, if the cap is still on the slave, I'd take it off just to make sure IT'S not grounding (shorting) the circuit out...

Sorry, the capacitor (little black box thingy) that bolts to the clutch slave cylinder (on top of the tranny) is what I was referring to...

Personally I don't think the stock guage is good enough to justify spending lots of time and any money repairing. Put that time and money into a decent mechanical gauge instead.
