Oil leak under oil pan bolt 8 (pics inside)
So i have been leaking oil at an ever increasing rate lately. i got under the car and cleaned it all up with a rag to diagnose the location of the leak. well upon putting in a fresh quart of oil i noticed immediate dripping coming from the support under the oil pan. crazy thing is that it looks to be coming from the base of the bolt, not anywhere around it. does this mean i need to replace the oil pan? what do i need to replace?

Its very hard to see but I am thinking maybe there are some copper washers that should go there otherwise maybe the oil pan is bad in that spot possibly a new pan possibly some new washers
well, I had a similair leak there and in other spots. To rosolve this you could pull the bolt out and put some Permatex Right Stuff on the bottom of the bolt head. and the '8' is a tourque rating on the bolt I think.
The other option is dropping the Oil pan and putting a new gasket on. BUt ut some permatex can stop alot of leaks for a long period of time.
I recently pulled my oil-leaking engine and put it into my other FC. during that time I put a new gasket on the pan and drilled a bunch of broken bolts out. No more leaks!

drain oil, support engine with jack (just in case), remove bolt, coat bolt with RTV - some on the threads and around the head of the bolt, replace bolt. see if that works, if not look for a new oil pan. they are super cheap but not fun to change by themselves.

Looks like it could be leaking from anywhere (and everywhere). Oil leaks rarely show up where the actual leak is, they always look lower and more to the rear of the car.
Hose the entire area down with brake cleaner so you can get a better idea of where you are seeping oil. It's likely you will find that the oil pan is leaking where it meets the engine, or the metering oil pump is leaking.
I can't say I've ever seen an engine mount bolt leak oil but if it is the only to stop it permanently is to replace the pan gasket.
