oil issues
think my oil pan gasket is done
a lot of my oil has leaked out
in the past week or 2 but a lot of what is on the bottom looks like
it has been there for awhile.
anyone have any new gaskets?
or suggestions for what i might be
i have to drive it to a dealership
where i can use a lift and clean it off and inspect it better
i hope i can fill it with oil and make it there ok
i wrote this up at school and i hope to have some suggestions when i get out
and before i leave the house with my 7
thanks greatly appreciated

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
well if you have an oil leak, you need to see where its coming from.
Oil pan gaskets do tend to fail on FC and FD after 100K so if you have the original gasket it could be leaking.
You could also have a broken line or leaking MOP, so you need to check it out.

Best way to find oil leaks is to completely degrease the engine, then run it for a while and see where the oil is starting to seep out. If the leak is big enough, just idling is needed. But if it is small, then it make take a few days of driving to make it show. Unfortunately, driving the car tends to throw the oil everywhere, so it's harder to find in this case.
Common leak areas:
-metering oil pump
-oil pan
-oil filter pedistole
-oil cooler lines
