I am currently using the Purolator PureONE. In the past I have used the OEM, K&N, and Bosch. The Purlator or the OEM seem to be the "Best" from what I know.

I've used Fram in the past, but they are crap. They use cardboard for some of the internals of the filter. While i didn't notice a drop in pressure, I figured anything that important shouldn't be made with cardboard. I'm using Mobile 1 right now, I'd like to try the OEM one next round.

I'm currently using a Pennzoil filter on my FB with no problems. I've used Fram filters as well with no problems. Yes most Honda filters will work on 89 and older rotaries as they are the same really. In 90 Mazda changed filter size to a smaller unit. I've never used any of the others but I haven't heard any bad come from them so I'd say they are good.

Im going to start using AMSOIL Filters and oil. Done a little research and their filters seem pretty good.
I was thinking about this a couple days ago, I used to say OEM all the way because it had more filtering meterial, but I wonder what micron the filter media will filter down too. Also the surface area seem to be limited with OEM filters.
Here is some info on the AMSOIL filters. Some other info can be found at AMSOIL.com
