Oil filter Pedestal. There is two O-rings under it. Go to hardware store or local Car Parts store and get them. Just using RTV is a bad idea, you don't want to loose oil pressure or oil due to a leak, and it will leak.

:p He's talking about where the oil pedestal meats the rear end housing. not the oil filter to pedestal.

just a light coat of RVT with the o rings. Think of it as a gasket/o ring dressing.

Don't do that or it will leak prematurely.

when i got my third fc i was leaking half a quart a day because of those damn o-rings had to go to mazda to get them cause no parts store had the right size $12 for them and i had to wait 3 days to get them . besides that all you need is those o-rings nothing else NO RTV at all or it will leak. put the o-rings in and tighting the hell out of the nuts just make sure they dont get pinched and set right in the grooves and your good to go
