Oil filler neck is loose and POPS off at 7500rpm ???
I posted a dyno video a few months ago and the tunner was only able to tune up to 7500rpm. At that rpm the oil filler neck would pop off. I spoke to a friend who suggested a steam clean. His theory is the side seals might be stuck and boost is leaking into the oil passages and pops off the oil filler neck. Does this sound right? Or can someone suggest some other method or second opinion ?
Also my oil filler neck is not tighty sealed into the slot to begin with. Is there a difference in size of the bottom pipe, that goes into the center iron, between the n/a and t2? Or is it just the design?

you should have a vent somewhere along the pcv system so that pressure wont build up in the oil system.
If I remember, there is an oring on the neck that connects to the intermediate plate. You can try changing that to make it a tighter fit.

Roman,the oil filler neck is compression fitted into the iron.(Real tight fit..bang,bang,it's in)
If it is not fitting right then you can tap it a touch(*hammer time) to make it "slightly" oblong so that it will be not totally circular but will fit Real Snug by the time you bang it in the iron.
You can always try another Filler tube too?
IF the whole tube is coming out due to Pressure then it isn't snug at all.IF it built up "that much" pressure then your Oil pan should have blown off too!!!!!(that is if the Tube was on properly,,it would take a LOT of pressure to Pop it by just "pressure".

Dave, I understand that the filler neck SHOULD be a tight fit, but its not. So im wondering if its an n/a filler neck i need? Do you have an n/a filler neck you can sell me?
Also does a steam clean sound like the right thing to do in this situation? After fixing the filler neck problem first.

stake the steel sleeve from the inside out to give it more tension when you tap it into the iron. and also get a catch tank to vent the pressure, you should NOT have the crankcase completely sealed...
To get in in tighter, let the engine warm up, then pull it out (since it's lose). Take the filler neck and stick it in the freezer for a while. Stick it back in! Should go in a bit better, and then once everything equalizes, it should stay put. But yes, make sure you vent the case regardless.

I have an oil catch can... There is a hose with a T fitting taking in the oil and gas vapours into the catch tank and another hose to recirculate back into the intake.
Is it vented similar to this...
Bottom nipple on center iron goes to your catch can through a nice thick hose.
Top nipple goes to an intake vacuum port through a PCV valve.
The catch can has a filter on top if you have a standalone, or a nice thick line to the TID if you have a stock ECU.
That's it.

Simillar yes... The bottom nipple for oil vapours and the hose on the firewall for gas vapours are T'd into a fittting and sends both vapours into the catch can. And on the catch can the other hose is connected to a nipple after the throttle body to recirculate back into the intake... The top nipple is open and no pcv valve.
Sounds like a turbo filler pipe. No matter. Both turbo and non turbo filler pipes WERE a prss fit into the intermediate housing.
IF it's not a press/interference fitting pipe.................either the pipe has had it's diameter shrunk down or Lunitic wallowed out the hole in the intermediate housing. There were several different ways of correctiong this mentioined in posts above.
