oil control spring needed.
hey all when i took my oil pan off i took off the oil pickup tube and a bolt that holds ina spring and a piston. the bolt spring and piston are towards one end. the spring i have is ina few pieces so i was wondering where do i go about getting one? i have a 89 TII

I think you are talking about the bypass which treads
into the front cover, which you can see/ remove once
the oil pan is off, there is a spring holding up a plunger / piston.
If you were running this motor with a broken spring in there
I think it would have caused really low oil pressure and maybe
even some damage to the motor...
just order one from mazda if you don't have a extra
on hand.

yah i blew a rear rotor/apex seal/housing/endplate. so when i call them up what part number or special term do i use to el them what it is that i need?

mazda calls it a "Control valve spring"
