oil coming out of 88 t2 maf

So here is the situation I have an 88t2 bought from a guy motor was rebuilt by Hayes rotary, but the turbo was blown. Ok easy fix. Got a factory s4 turbo used with minimal shaft play. Drove the car for the first since its been sitting for 2-4 months. Is it possible that the previous turbo blew bad enough to where oil went into the intercooler and throttle body and maybe the manifold? I took off the intercooler and the hose to the throttle body and there is puddles of oil just Chilln there.

Did you bother to clean out all of the oil before installing the new turbocharger?

Or if you did clean out the intercooler/piping, etc...since the blown turbo was on there, your replacement turbo is probably also leaking past the front seal. Oil return line blockage can cause this by driving the oil pressure up inside the turbo CHRA, or a simple worn out seal will do it. Shaft play doesn't necessarily indicate the condition of the oil seals.

ok, whats the chra? you know i dont know if this just whatever, but when i was putting hard lines on the new turbo i had the hot side up/ cold side down and there was oil chilling on the floor when i picked her up to install on the car, maybe that was the oil seeping past the seal?

The CHRA is the center bearing housing. Oil leaking out of the open inlet/outlet ports is more likely. Without oil pressure in the CHRA, it wouldn't get past the front seal unless there was some serious damage.

Ok that does make more sense, I just don't see oil coming out of the maf if it isn't a turbo problem, thanks for your help.
