Is an oil bypass pellet supposed to come with a spring?

Is an oil bypass pellet supposed to come with a spring?

I ordered an oil bypass pellet from FC3S.org and they said that the spring does not have to be replaced. So they sent me just the metal part of the pellet and
I just dont get how this thing works i mean the only mechanicle part of the pellet is the spring so why doesent it have to be replaced??

since the spring IS the item that determines what the bypass pressure is, I'd say they're messing with your head...

you replace the spring with the solid piece.... there for you are bypassing the spring

You just use the large spring that fits on the top of the stock pellet.

This should not be confused with the spring that is part of the thermo valve.

I dont think i got the right part then.
I thought the oil bypass pellet was the part that allowed oil to circulate into the rear rotor and that it was important to replace because if it failed it would cut oil from going to the rotor.

The oil bypass pellet is to allow the oil to circulate through the rotors regardless of oil temp.

The E-shaft oil thermo valve, (that the bypass replaces) only allows the oil to travel through the rotors when the oil temp is warm, in addition if it fails, the oil will not circulate at full pressure through the rotors (not just the rear rotor).

This whole thing is very simple... I think you are making it more difficult than it is.

The E-shaft oil thermo valve, has a rod through the middle with a thermo wax assembly inside. This rod is tensioned with a spring.

The whole valve is tensioned in place with a large spring.

You replace the thermo valve with the bypass pellet, but retain the large spring to tension the bypass in the E-shaft.

yeah I am getting the same thing in the mail. do both springs come out or only the one attached to the thermal pellet? Also it is ok to crank the engine to break the bolt? You don't want to start the engine so should I pull the egi fuse? Thanks.
