OHM resistance in plug wires
OHM resistance in plug wires
Does anyone know the range of resistance there should be before replacing? I'm trying to go via the process of elimintaion here, batteries good, fuel is getting to where its supposed to go. I added some b12 and 93 octane to the gas tank( it was empty or near it ) and also some ATF via the vacummn hookups on the intake ( its been sitting there over night now ).
I need to check the plugs, but I dont know where to buy new ones, autozone doesnt seem to carry them, at least not at the ones I goto. Anything else I should check? This car seems very comfortable, its pretty low to the ground and the interior is pretty cool for a 1986 car. Any one have any more tips to check? Oil is there and it looks really really clean.

Autozaone doesn't carry NGK, Advanced Auto does. You do not need 93 octane. NA's run best on low octane crap. If you are in doubt about the wires replace them, check the resistance of all wires they all should be in the same range. If you have data scatter between the wires replace with OEM
Per the free online manual, as in free download: RESISTANCE: 16KOHMS PER 1 M (3.28 FT). Its a free download. Won't cost much. That price is in US DOLLARS, may vary from country to country.
