Oh sweet ever cruel irony.

Well, I've been working on my car the past three months or so, sanding painting buffing reaparing replacing, getting it into tip-top shape in preparation of inspection and whatnot, when yesterday, OUT OF THE BLUE, my clutch goes out. Petal goes to floor but clutch is engaged... hmmm. Anyway, doesn't really matter what it is thats wrong with it because I don't have the funds to fix it right now anyways. I just found it ironic that I had planned on taking it in to have an exhaust leak fixed that evening to have it ready for inspection on Monday. *Sigh* Oh well. I guess this'll finally give me a chance to do a TII swap and all that jazz. Hopefully. So, if anyone happens to have a TII engine and tranny they have lying around...
and that they will still have lying around in a few months...
... I would be much appreciative.

^I had to miss the DD, Dimmu show. Not enough $$, but damn I wanted to go!!!
On subject, hopefully its just the master cylinder and not the clutch itself. Isn't the master cylinder a pain in the *** to get to?

It's hydraulics
Master clutch rebuild kit is $12 from checker
Not sure about how much the slave is but I recommend to replace both at the same time to elimiate trouble down the road.

How could it be the clutch? if its still engaged it means thats its doing its job... its just not releasing.. Dont rebuild it.. what happens when the cylinder walls are bored out? then you take the rebuild kit and put in now under-sized seals... i know it depends what seal is gone... but just replace it.

Cylinder bored out? There was something severly wrong for that to happen.
some simple brake cleaner and a clean paper towel are enough to get it back to normal unless you had some catastrophic failure inside the cylinder.
I rebuilt my cylinder over a year ago and it's held fine.

UPDATE:
It isn't my master cylinder, nor is it my slave cylinder. Checked those out today and they were fine, no fluid leaking or anything. Its actually my pressure plate sticking, making it seem as if there is a pressure problem. It took having a second party/ pair of eyes to see this while I sat in the car and depressed and lifted the clutch petal. I'd lift it up, and push it down and when pushing it down it was fine, but when I lifted- petal stuck to floor. The second party freed the pressure plate by hand and BAM!!! petal comes back up. So now I'm gonna have to get a clutch, which is okay I guess because I wanted to upgrade to a Centerforce anyways. I appreciate all of the help guys, but it turned out to be something different.

hey this happened to me... i took it to the mechanic and he said that it was some middle piece. like you depress the pedel and then it pushes up on a pole type thingy, then that presses on the hydraulic. maybe he made some **** up i dont know.......

Yes, there is a fork that the clutch slave pushes on to operate the pressure plate. I guess it could get stuck, but it seems pretty unlikely. Either way, it seems that you are going to have to pull the tranny off to fix it.
Also, never seen mushroomhead or devildriver, but Dimmu is baddass. Its been several years, but I've seen then 3 times. In fact, the first show I ever went to was Dimmu, but that was way back in their earlier years.
