oh god, car broken down again.

once again, the electrical system in my turboII has gotten me walking one mile in the snow to a gas station (at midnight) to use a payphone.
i was driving along on the interstate, and all the sudden my car is running like ****. i give it a little gas to try to keep going and maybe shake off one of these many electrical problems. no go..
i keep in the gas to try to get as far as possible to the next exit, the turbo is spooling to full potential, but no power what so ever.
so while the car is still running (idling like ****) i jiggle the wiring harness (the section that goes by the oil filter) and the car sputters down and dies.
there is now like 6 inches of snow and its christmas eve and i think i'm just gonna leave my car on the side of the road for a few days... worst christmas ever.

WHERE DO I BEGIN ON THESE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS?

this bitch is my daily driver (was til it left me walking in the snow tonight) remind me not to get a girlfriend while i have this car.

my friends rx-7 floods and everything like u had in couple recent post, and today i checked the compression and it turn'd out to be 40 - 35 - 40 in font and 95-95-95 in the rear. so it's pretty much blown front rotor. so maybe your car had been done-in-the-bootay that's why it's running like *****.

You should invest in a tow trailer

Anyways, have you done a compression test recently? Any idiot lights come on?

Maybe some magical ATF will bring the car back to life *sarcasm*

well, right now i'm convinced that my car is flooding because my fuel pump is getting constant 12v (its hardwired to the battery with a switch)
so i'm not convinced that its totally done in the bootay yet.
constant 12v at the fuel pump will cause flooding,, right??

If you left your car on the side of the road in California, some one will break into it or the cops will tow it away and charge you a billion dollars to get it out. Does anyone care over there?

Hummm I was just through there last week. Took me maybe 12hrs to get down there. 24hrs on the road 5 mins in the back of the car yanking the pump... nah, I'll just buy one...

I just can't wait to hear the fuss you guys put up when I refuse to go power adder untill I break 12's NA Then again on slicks I very well might already be doing that. Did I mention I break the tires loose half way up the powerband from a soft launch....

So it is probably the wiring harness. Why not go to the junk yard or Ebay and get another one for $20-50 and install it?

If it makes you feel better, I hate cristmas myself and wish the holidays were over with.

well, i would get a new harness and install it (i think some wires are exposed) but it is alot of work and would take several hours and i dont have a heated garage or any place with enough room to do the work.
isnt the charging harness the coils and stuff? if so, i dont think thats it.
