Offset and tire question

I know this would probably be better off in the wheels/suspension section, but I need to know if i'll have any issues with:
17x8+39 with 225/40/17 in the front and
17x9+39 with 245/35/17 in the rear

I read the FC fitment thread and thought I had this figured out, but i was wrong. Reading it a second time just confused me even more.

Thanks!

You might have problems with the tire rubbing the springs up front, depending on your suspension. I had 16x8 +38 offset wheels with 225-50-16 tires at one point. This same wheel and tire worked perfectly on my '90 GTU with OEM base suspension, but rubbed pretty badly on my '88 GTU with the so-called "hard" or heavy-duty TII-type springs. I could have addressed this with a spacer but I'm not a big fan of them so I just got different wheels.

Obviously you're talking about a 17" wheel and tire, but I'd think the fronts could still pose a problem.
