Unhappy Off topic question

I perform a tune up in my fc about two weeks ago. I change the oil and upgrade it from 10w 30 to 10w 40, i also put new spark plugs. Here is my off topic question, How come that before i changed the spark plugs my fc will pop flames at about 6 to 7 krpm while shifting gear and now the only way to make it pop flame is to redline it? Am i missing basic knowlegde or do i have to have the spark plugs worn or gapped? cuz i miss my fc shooting flames while driving without having to redline her.

1. you shouldn't be worrying about that
2. you shouldn't be using 10w40 although i'm thinking it might be the cause of it not shooting flames

Maybe your new plugs are igniting the mix better than your old plugs, so less unburnt fuel is going into the exhaust?

i don't know, but don't put the old plugs back in just to try to get the flames going again. you might want to check your omp. go check in the FSM for the how-to to check it. it's NOT a good thing if your omp doesn't work.

that's what i was thinking, juiceh. that's why i don't think he should be worrying about not having the shooting flames.
