Whats up guys. I was wondering if anyone had any info or could chime in on the originality of the paint / color of this car? Its a Japanese JDM 1988 RX7 Turbo II and it has a very nice yellow paint. The bay itself is not painted yellow but I noticed some FC's tend to have a matching Bay and some do not? Also it seems like yellow was not a factory color for US market cars. Its a really nice car with rare RE-Amemiya Front / RE-Amemiya Sides / Yours Sports Rear Wing and it looks really awesome in the yellow color. So was yellow a factory color for japanese spec cars?

Don't think it's OEM, I've never seen Mazda paint the engine bay black instead of body color.
Does look good though.
What color is the interior under the carpet?

every Mazda from the R100 to the Rx8 is painted body color only, so the outside matches the engine bay,trunk,door jambs, even the floor under the car.

and yellow was never offered for the FC, although it looks nice, i like it too

See the metal plate on the firewall? It has a 2-digit paint code that will tell the original color of the car.

Thanks for the paint codes! I did not get a chance to get the info from the chassis plate or to check the rest of the chassis color before I had it shipped. I was hoping it was an original color but it is clean and looks very professional none the less.

S4 trim I believe since the car is an 88 and has the s4 tails
