oem struts or aftermarket
My girlfriend's cousin works for a parts store chain, so he gets a managers discount.
I am in despirate need for stuts on my 86 n/a. I have been looking at the set on ebay of non-adjustablesfor $450. I think they are kyb.
I can get oem through this guy for $118 + tax.
Ideally, I want adjustables. but I was thinking I could get these now, and then add prsgressive rate springs.
My question is, how to the "hard suspension" struts perform when new, compaired to something like a kyb setup? I have read many reveiws on struts, but they are always replacing worn out stock struts.
has anyone compaired the two systems when new?
I am only looking for about 1G cornering. this is a daily driver.

Can't go wrong with a set of Koni's.
Tokico makes good non adjustable struts from what I've heard. Just over $100 apiece from www.rx7.com . If you just want a basic replacement I'd say that's the way to go.
I've heard some mixed reviews on the KYB's. A lot of people say they're pretty good, but the longevity isn't so great. I don't have first hand experience with them so I can't really say much about them.
