The stock pads are a semi metallic, however aftermarket pads should based on driving style and conditions more than a type.

For example if you are using the car in a race track you would probably use different pads than a street driven vehicle, which would be different than pads used for autoX

Most street pads are some sort of organic friction material, sort of like clutch lining.

If you want some performance street pads try Hawk HPS, EBC Greenstuff, Porterfield R4S, Axxis Ultimates, or any number of other name brand heavy duty street pads.

You don't want race pads on the street, they're noisy, dusty, they don't work that well when cold and they'll destroy your rotors in no time.
