odometer melted
Hey, my car was sitting in the same spot for about 4 and a half months while I saved up for and then installed a new engine. My problem is though, my odemeter is partially melted. The third and fourth numbers wont move because they are melted together. Also, the needle of the speedometer is screwed up, it makes a ticking noise and pulsates. anything i can do to fix either?

how does that work with the odometer (I've never done anything with gauges or anything)....how do you set the number of miles. If i sell the car, i dont want to be accused of odometer fraud

here in VA if you change the odo, when you sell the car you just have to check the box on the title that says, Not actual miles and that'sall there is to it. You shouldn't have a problem, just some people don't like to buy a car when they can't see exactly how many miles are really on the car.
