Odd Question Regarding GSL-SE

Does the rear end bolt into a 2nd generation RX-7? Any advantages? Good at all?

I know a TII rear end would be ideal, but one popped up locally to me.

I doubt it. I think they are the same size as the NA counterparts for our series of cars, but I havent heard anything about them being strong at all.. Could be wrong but it seems like a downgrade to me.

The whole rear end? The GSL-SE has a straight axle....

I noticed DirectFreak was making 333lbs of torque on one before he had to switch, so it doesn't seem like its a downgrade. And I know it has a straight axle.

Anyone else?

No, you're still wrong. I have a 1st gen myself too. They all had a straight rear axles dude... I think you're confusing it to the typical straight axle setup of a Watts linkage or panhard bar.

Jager, just go with a TII rear end. It will be MUCH cheaper and can withstand some pretty decent power/torque if you're not going too crazy. Fitting in a live axle in an FC is going to require a lot of custom work and why put a GSL-SE rear end in there if you're going through all the trouble? Better to put a Ford 9 inch....
