Odd fuel cut situation

My car is stock motor, cats cut out, 2 1/2 DP, emissions removed, intake, maf adapter, HKS fuel cut defencer.

My car used to fuel cut at a little above 6lbs after i cut the cats out, so i bought the HKS FCD and put it in. Problem solved! Yesterday i redid the engine ground to the passenger side on the firewall (it was melted) and added a ground to the battery because ive read these cars like to be grounded well. I went out to see if it ran any better with these doen like that.

Launched, 1st was fine, normal 9lbs, same with second, 3rd. Went i went into 4th and got back on the gas the car did a big lurch, like a real nasty fuel cut. I shut it down and put it in 5th. When i got on the gas the car just kinda sputtered. It did that every time i accelerated at all, but only at 2k and above. I shut the car off, checked all IC hoses, vaccume, everything looked good, the car idled way BETTER than it did before, nice and smooth at 1k, but when i got on the gas even in neutral it would cut out. So i started to limp it back to my garage, and the farther it drove the better it ran, so when i got close to the garage i started to ease into power again, and it pulled like normal. WIERD!

Theory #1: It was about 55F degrees out, FCD couldnt keep with the denser air and fuel cut real bad and fouled the plugs.

Theory #2: The ground that i redid on the firewall messed something up. (Everytime i get out of the car now i get shocked.)

Ive tired to include as much information as i can as to exactly what happened, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
