occasional engine check light

Since I've owned my car (July, 2002), my engine check light has gone off about 3 times, each time for just a few seconds. I know it's nothing to worry about now, but what sensor should I be watching? Do you think it's a loose connection, or a dying sensor?

It may be bad wiring and connections. Or your solder points. I have done the solder points on the cluster and it works like a dream now.

I have the same problem. Sometimes it will turn on just for the hell of it, other times when it is on, it will go off as soon as a i touch the accelerator. Its really wierd, but it doesn't store a code, so i'm not to worried. Any help is always appreciated.

Mine does this too, but only when cold. After it's warmed up, it only comes on between shifts sometimes.
