O2 Sensor and Me vs. Vert

First Question:

What O2 sensors can I put in my car? I remember seeing something about a Ford one I can buy from Kragen or Autozone.

Second Question:

My friend has an 88 vert and we are completely even. My clutch slips pretty badly even though it's only 6 months old. It's an OEM, and I think that's the problem, but it seems that I should still beat him with such a huge weight difference. We are completely even until 100 then I pass him slowly. His car was stock, but today we found the auxillary ports weren't working, so I tied them open, and we also replaced the stock fan with an electric one. My car weighs 2700 pounds now and has quite a few mods, and his still weighs very close to a stock vert, and he has less HP stock than me anyway, so what's the deal? Why can't I take him easier? Is it just because of my clutch?

Thanks.

Thanks. I might talk to you on AIM if I have any questions pertaining to that O2 sensor. Now who's going to tell me what's up with not beating a vert?

It's got to be your clutch. The '88 vert, in stock trim, is a dog.

You should have you clutch looked at. When you say 'stock', do you mean a stock equivalent or the factory Mazda clutch?

With your mods, even a stock clutch should be able to hold, unless you beaten the **** out of it.

Uhm, I believe stock converables that year ran like high 17s 1/4, so you definately should be able to take him, hell you should be walking all over him. I think that figure is correct, but could be wrong. And also, I have a factory replacement clutch in my 86, and about the same mods, and I have never had a problem with it slipping, sometimes doesnt like to engage properly on a launch, but thats about it.

get a bosch one from autozone. theya re cheap and work good.

my vert wtih a **** load of mods, i can only get it to run about a 16.8 in the quarter. im sure with a better driver it would run a 16.5 for sure.

verts are heavy and slow, but look good! especially 88s
