Question O2 sensor error

I just finished installing the 2 light ecu tester. When i turn my car on, the lights light up for about 3 sec. and then shut off, but as i begin to move the car, the light #1 bust out a Long light, then a Long pause, and repeats it. That is the code for the O2 sensor, but the odd part is that the light stops blinking after a while the car is in motion. Also, i just very recently replaced my o2 sensor, which tells me it isn't the device itself. I noticed that some of the insulation in the old conector and wire is peeling off, could that cause that error?

Well, i've been trying to solve my 13.5 mpg problem, and still haven't been able to figure out how to raise it to 18-22mpg. It might be due to the o2, though. Thanks

Its possible that the wire could be corroded, if thats the case you can replace it at autozone for $17 if your willing to wire it in yourself or $30 if you want the complete harness. Its just something to consider.

What's the $17 wire called? type? I'm willing to re-wire. I usually try to do the work myself anyways.
Thanks

So I re-wired the o2 wire, and STILL get that light BUT only a few time??? Once i begin to rev. it goes away. Could it be a conection inside my ECU or after the O2 itself?
