Number #1 One Muffler

Hey guys I was wondering if anybody every heard of this muffler, I bought it used and the guy I bought it from doesn't know where it came from.

There is a badge on the side of the muffler and it says "Number #1 One" as seen somewhat in the picture attached.

Anybody have an idea?

Specs:

Tip: 4"
Muffler Canister: 6"
Pipe: 2.5"

I'm using this muffler on a single back N/A application. Hopefully it's not too loud!

I've never heard of it, but unless you have something else farther up (cat, presilencer, etc.) then its gonna be damn loud.

O ok like NOPI's universal muffler right?

Anyway, I'm leaving the 2 pre-cat's and main cat so I'm hoping that will be enough to keep it quite.

If you're gonna use a canister-style muffler with a big tip, I strongly suggest getting one fabbed up with a presilencer before the can.

Also, a downpipe that replaces the main cat won't make the car all that loud, even on an NA.

Ya I'm probably gonna regret all that noise I'm goin to create (nobody wants to run a loud *** ebay muffler right?), but i'm goin to need something to quite it down.

i got this muffler for a sweet deal i couldn't pass up though 20 bucks!

The muffler isn't all that bad though, I didn't care much for the 4" tip but the tip doesn't do anything anyways, it is 2.5" all the way through.

I'm basically lookin for something bigger than stock and somethin that wouldn't break the bank and I wasn't lookin to bust out 600 bucks I don't have for a racing beat cat-back.

O well guess I'll have to embrace the "ricer" role for a little bit, cmon I know there is a little ricer in all of us right???

Ya headers will really make you deaf.

But as far as a pre-silenser goes what do you all recommend? Experiences with sound and cost?

Thanks for the responses (even the sacastic one).

Well, if you keep the cats in it shouldnt be too bad. If you have an s4, the only thing I know of that keeps the aux ports working right is the RB presilencer with the downpipe. I had it with the N1 and it had a good sound. It was pretty loud, though. With the header its even louder. The only time I really find it annoying is on long trips. Its also kinda a pain if I'm out late at night, cause I don't like waking up my neighbors.
I have also heard of people welding in magnaflows or borla xr-1s in the place of presilencers with good success.

Ya I think I'm goin to need a silenser after the cat, so when I get the pipe from the main cat to the muffler fabed up I do have the option later on of sectioning that pipe and welding up like you (Sideways7) said a magnaflow or borla xr-1 presilenser which will help in that case.

I have a price quote of about $200 from this muffler shop here in San Diego called American Muffler. I hear they do great work.

Basically I told them I wanted a 2.5" aluminized steel pipe fabbed up from the Main cat to the muffler in the picture and $200 is what he quoted me.

Anybody have any experiences with thier custom exhuast's? Sound and pricing?

By the way I stopped by Midas on the way home and found out that they completely suck. Cmon George Forman I thought you were better than that! Keep your peeps at Midas in line man...I mean cmon you made the Forman Grill!

Anyways Thanks for the help everybody.
