now how much is this going to cost me?

i have been having problems with my shifter lately on my 88 gxl. when i push the shifter to the right while in neutral, the shifter springs back to center. but when i push to the left, it has no resistance to it and just stays to the left. i already replaced my bushings, so that is not a problem, and after some searching, i think it is a lateral spring that is broken. can anyony confirm this or know what really might be wrong with it? any guesses to what it will cost to fix? i really dont like getting into transmission work myself.

been covered already and its in FSM as well i belive

while you have transmission out of car, u need to replace spring which was most likely broken

spring should not cost you too much and if transmission is out of car, it should not take you too much time either......hardest part is to get pin out
