lately my steering has been notchy or lumpy feeling. and this week the PS pump is making that Ford whine about half the time.
When you turn the wheel, it feels like the pressure needed to make the wheels turn is hard-easy-hard-easy.
Any thoughts?

Sounds like its low on fluid, or you may have a leak.
