I posted the other day that I thought my coolant seals were shoot due to all the white smoke that was comig from my exhaust. Well yesterday i snatched the turbo off the car. I did some research which said that if the oil seal was shoot in the turbo, that it would smoke just as bad as if the coolant seal was shoot in the engine. Well after inspecting the turbo it was a pile of oil near my wastegate, I could even see the stream from where the oil was coming from. What a releif. So im gonna get a hybrid but im curious of whom to go with? Any suggestons?

 

oil gives off a blue tint smoke are you sure its white.

 

with no pressure in upper hose...remove radiator cap and start car....see if it geizers (sp)...take it to like 2500 and look....if your coolant seals are gone, it will shoot up coolant out the water neck. I'd do it just to be SURE.

Oil does burn blue...
