Is this a normal exhaust port?

I've just replaced my turbo and just discovered something a little unexpected in the exhaust ports. Notice the 2 extra holes towards the top of the port. Note that these are FD housings.

Regardless, those holes are supposed to be there. Nothing is wrong with them.

The holes are air/EGR passages.

The nipple is for air injection.

I'm fairly sure that the holes in the sleeves are for EGR. You'd have to check the FSM/training manual to be sure.

Ah, well either way I guess I can still block it off and cut it out of the manifold like I was planning on doing, right?
