I'm new here too, but I'm sure you'll like the site as much as I do. I just bought an 88 SE, and it is insanely fun to drive (my old car was an 89 Buick Century 2-door coupe that I had totally riced out, rims, white headlights, strobes, neon, with some performance mods like custom intake, spak plugs and wires, Flowmaster exhaust. ). By the way, if anyone wants to see a pic of the Buick, I'll post it just for laughs. My brother bought it from me, so I have him to thank for the chance to by my FC.

Jinx: Wow, less than $300 for the car. I don't know why, but I feel like it's fate that made me finally join the forum and having a car for sale close enough by me. I can't wait till I start driving and working on the car. ^_^

oregano: I play cs too at some pc cafe. And the creepy thing was some guy saw my sn and immed me outta the blue when I was home. Needless to say, he was blocked!

domesttuner: hah! I wanna see the Buick! How did you manage to rice that out?!?

Does anyone know if the fc will survive a 300 mile trip? I don't feel safe driving it straight through the trip so how often would I need to stop for breaks? Also, if I get this fc, it will be used as a daily driver. Would a 80 miles a day (two 40ish miles trips) be too much of a commute??

The FC is a durable a good car as long as you take care of it. Watch the temperature guage and if it looks like its about to overheat, take a break and get some sleep/get some lunch or something. And thats another thing about the FC, for some odd reason the stock seats are very comfortable to me. Like i can seriously fall asleep faster in my TII than I can in my bed.

yeah the seats are really comfy makes long trips nice despite the firm ride. it so nice just to go out sit in the car listen to the radio. i wana find a way to get that seat in another car if i ever (gasp!) have to drive another car.

Like I said, 300 bucks is what he wants for it, I told him that I personally wouldn't pay that much for it. If he doesn't want to come down on the price ( I think he should be happy to let it go for 100 to 200 bucks), then if you you like the car enough, you may feel comfortable paying that much. I'll try to get pics from all angles of the car and the motor. i'd like to do a compression test on it, but can't lay my hands on a tester right now.

This particular moderator has no patience for harassment of the females. Hence, lately, there has been no harassment.

Eh, I'll jump on the bandwagon and up my post JUST ONE MORE

Good luck with the search, I say go N/A... great car, I love mine.

I too was VERY surprised on how comfy the 7 really is...

I recommend you read Aaron Cake's article on buying a 7, he gives a lot of good stuff to read over, things to be brought up about the car so you don't end up with a 2600 lb of steel.

Hey welcome!!

After reading your post i have to say that i can relate a lot to you. I've been obsessed with rx-7's for a few years now, and it all started with the fd (thank you GT2 ). I also did research and found out that it would be better for me to start out with an fc n/a....and now i have one.

Don't worry about all those minor details like driving rwd in the snow, or any reliability issues right now. All those worries fly out the window when you finally get your rx-7...and i gotta tell you that its the best feeling in the world.

Welcome to the club, and don't mind the postwhores
