Question No throttle responce

Hello all,
I have a 87 n/a 5 speed the will not accelerate over 45% on a gentle acceleration it will rev to red line but anything over half and it hesitates and backfires. I have checked the TPS and AFM also checked Coils. I have done the ground mods and I have 33 psi fuel. At the point of secondary injection the injectors never pulse. I live in columbus oh and could use some advise.

could be caused by lots of things: dirty injectors, clogged fuel inlet or high pressure filter (sure, you got 33 psi, but did you get that pressure while driving under load?, clogged cat, fouled plugs, etc...just gotta start troubleshooting...

Sounds like you answered your own question. You have a secondary injector problem.

What could it be? Most likely a wiring problem.. Do you know how to use a multimeter?

IF the secondary injectors are not opening, ever.....I'd suggest there is fault in the boost/pressure sensor.

If yor read the fsm you find that the secondary injectors will come on every time you cross 3500 rpm IF you disconnect the pressure sensors vac hose and plug the vac hose (stop air leak).

YOu should be able to do this in your driveway. So do it. And see if the secondary injectors come online. You can either hear them (I never could), or backprobe the secondary injector output at the ECU pin, and see if the voltage drops when you get over 3500 rpm (with the vac hose for the pressure sensor off the sensor and plugged).Pins 3F and 3H on the small plug on the ECU.

I have a constant 12 volts at the injectors and using a noid light they never pulse. Backprobing the ecu I have a varying voltage from idle to redline from the boost sensor.

Since the primays work, and the secondarys don't, even though there is 12v there.......get another ECU. But ohm out the wires from the ECU to the secondarys first. Got me why it does not work if you've got 12V and the wiring is there.

OH. How about this. Ohm out the injectors. Are they 2-3 ohms or 12 ohms???? Does your car have the solenoid resistor pack about a foot below the afm???? Possibly someone has the wrong secondary injectors installed and they whoooped up on the ECU and burnt it out as far as the secondarys go.
