No start on new rebuild
I know there have been many threads on this. I have searched and I have completed quite a few of the other things mentioned. I've made sure timing was on, swapped out AFMs (although I know you don't need them to start), made sure there was gas, checked for vacuum leaks ......etc.
I called the guys over at pineapple and they said its just cuz i used too much vasoline and that it all needs to melt away. They also said not to tow start it, as it will damage the apex seals.
My problem now is how to get the damn thing started? I've tried a lot of different things, maybe I'm just overlooking something small. I would greatly appreciate any help/advise on this topic.
It s 87 GXL with emissions removed and a port job.

New rebuilds have shitty compression when you first start them. Especially if you used new apex seals and old rotor housings. My guess is you've also washed away the assembly lube, causing you to get no compression. Put a teaspoon of your favorite oil (like 2 stroke, MMO, etc) in the lower plug holes and hand crank it a couple times.

And yes, these are old housings and new seals.

So I looked at the wiring diagram for the injectors and found that I messed that up. So I switched them to the right places thinking I was guaranteed the car to work but still NOTHING. I'm so frustrated. I don't know what else to do. I've read and read and read and nothing. Please help.

uh, also a little bit of info that might help. I'm using new spark plugs purchased like 3-4 days ago. I've swapped out lead coils with another working good one. It reads around 8.5 volts when cranking (power to lead coil). I've had my injectors rebuilt. The spark wires are from October of last year, I actually just looked at the manual and one of the sympotoms it has is "afterburn" - popping from the exhaust. I thought I did the timing correct, aligened it to the first mark on the pulley and then lined up the mark on the CAS, and popped it in. Anything else???

More information, I'm running a RB header to a gutted cat to a CS 3" exhaust. Rebuilt S4 NA with S5 internals. Running atkins rebuild kit with Large SP, templates from Pineapple. Also emissions stuff is removed.

Well, the plan today is to check out if the primaries are spraying fuel. I'm going to check compression and finally check for spark. I'll post results at the end of the day.

possible help
pull you plugs and replace them if it goes put put put and dies your almost there.they maybe foulded.,while the plugs are out crank it for a few seconds to clear you chambers, last double check to be sure your fuel pump is comming on,that you indeed have spark and **** the thing should start,at least pop or something,i see you have a few vacumm leaks but that will only cause the car to run a high iddle.then as you are fine tunning solve them problem..see if that helps...

Luis, the plugs are almost brand new. However, per your recommendation, I will change them. I've been unflooding and cranking but nothing really seems to work. I've tried adding MMO, 2-storke, 5w-30 but nothing seems to work for me. I'm going to be testing fuel pressure today as I just went and bought a new tool.

Did you ever fix that mystery line? If not, I took some pics of my setup. It's the brake booster vacuum source. If it's open like yours was, then that is a huge vacuum leak right there.
This just shows the routing of the line. It's metal and attached to the firewall by clips, should be easy to spot.

The other line is suppost to run into the exhust though a check valve.
Have you tried spraying quik start into the throttle body to see if it will keep running. That would tell you if it is fuel related.

Will try that later, still haven't made it out to the car today. Maybe around 5 or so, if I'm lucky.
