Are you absolutely sure it just isn't flooded? You just described an exact recipe for a flooded RX-7.

If you aren't getting fuel and spark on a NEW and CHARGED battery, then check for 12V at the black/yellow wire at the leading or trailing ignition coil when the key is set to RUN. If you don't have 12V, check the main relay and the EGI fuse.

Also, what is the condition of the battery cables and clamps?

The fuel pump should not run when you turn on the key. It will only run while the car is cranking.

Check for 12V at the main EFI relay when the key is set to RUN.

i have checked all the fuses and made sure that i have power to them, the main thing that i have done is that the main ground wasnt even attached to the engine so i attached that walla turn over like a good engine lol, check all the ground under intake behind the engine on the engine behind the coil pack, checked all plugs and connectors made sure they were all pluged in. I just got the pin outs of the ecu so im gonna check to make sure i have good ground at the ecu and that i have power getting to it i will let you guys now how it goes

All right so i sorta have a update, check all the ground and voltage going to the ecu, came out good all the grounds were grounded, the battery wire, main relay, and i think it was two other power wires all had 12v. So im really confused, so i decide just for the hell of it took the ecu and took the front cover off. no prob all the solder (cant remember how to spell right now) points look perfect, flipped it over, opened the other side up and 4 solder points are black and you can deff tell they have been burnt. ended up getting another s4 na ecu, tried starting it up, still getting no spark. Is there any way i can check to see if my main relay is bad, all your guys help is very appricated

try a new relay. Yeah I know more money but if that is the problem you know what it is then clean the old ecu with an eraser like we use to do with the slot cars test it and if it's good sell it LOL I know I would!!!

So have you checked for 12V at the main EFI relay? The easiest way to do this is to unplug the trailing/leading coil and check for 12V at the black/yellow wire with the key set to RUN.

I'm having a simalar issue with my 88 s4. except I have no spark on th trailing coil. The leading coil is firing. I haven't checked fuel currently.

I have a Crank angle sensor voltage as the engine is cranking. Ive back probed to the pcm and found i have no power leaving the pcm ( Or ecm in this case. lol.) I'm trying to see what other inputs the ecm needs to control spark to the trailing coils. I'm almost wanting to swap my ecm from my donar car to see if it helps. As for your problem, i'd actaully have to look at the car. No fuel and no spark sounds like you have abreak in the crank positioning sensor. But, that is just a really out there guess. Without diaganosing it I cant promise anything.

Jesus H Christ, if the CAS was the problem then the lead coil/plugs would not fire at all. Jesus H. Give me a break.

Im looking at alldata trying to to find were this wire goes (all data sucks for this stuff) does anyone happen to now what this wire goes to any help is appriciated

Ok, I go tmy car running. Smokes like a ****, may be because of all the cranking it was goingunder with no fuel, or spark. I was digging around by the fuel pump harness rechecking my basics, found nothing coming out of the pump while the car engine was being cranked ( The fuel pump only receives power when the crank signal is being sent). Tugged ona few things and power. Fuel started pouring out. Ok, so now back to my main issue. I have fuel, the engine starts and runs now. It runs liek crap though. lol. I have no tach, and still no spark on the trailing side coil. So now i'm back to sqaure one.

NoW would be the time to Switch spark plugs out for CLEAN ONES,,since the engine is now runnable..and see If that fixes the Trailing and Tach issue.
