No "REVERSE" lights?
I have an 86' RX7 N/A with a Turbo 2 Drivetrain. ( I bought the car 2nd hand.) Anyways, I've noticed that the reverse lights don't work. The bulbs are new. The only thing I can think of is that the harness on the Turbo 2 trans, that signals the reverse light, is either corroded or not connected. I have'nt had the time to go under the car and check on it. Please help.

Tranny has a switch on the passenger side, you have to get underneath the vehicle in order to get to it; it looks like a 21MM nut with 4 or 5 cables coming out of it. It is a pain in the butt to replace with the tranny on the car, but its doable....
BTW - The switch is expensive!!

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
It is common for the switch to fail (as covered before- hint Cough search cough) due to dirty contacts on both the RX-7 and Miatas.
You may try using a relay before replacing the switch, as most of the time when the fail it is due to build up in the switch. With a relay, the current is taken off the stock switch.
But you should check top make sure that the switch is correctly hooked up before anything else.
