no power to window motor.
88 vert. after i removed my dash and carpet than reinstalled. my passenger window no longer rolls down. iam getting no power when i try to roll down but i get power when i try to roll up (multi meter) same with the drivers side switch i get power when it rolls up but no power when it rolls down. i get power at the switch on both switches on the roll down but than when i check power at the motor there is only power for up. i swapped the wires on the motor now the swityches work *** backwards and rolls it down but not up.. so my motor works fine both ways i even replaced the passenger switch with a new one and still nothing. any help thanks

Test the driver's switch per FSM. The two switches are intertangled. Even though you prob didn't touch anything on the driver's side, full power to the window motors flows through both switches and it seems that just moving something pushes the switch over that magic "it quit working" threshold.
This happened to me. I cleaned/fixed my pass switch, and a few days later, my driver's switch crapped out. I took my driver's switch apart and cleaned the contacts with a wire brush wheel on my dremel. I also slightly "bent" the contact levers so they had a bit more pressure against the contact posts.
Also, you can try squirting some WD-40 down in the switch and let it sit for a while. I was able to get some good extended time out of a switch doing this.
Bottom line is that these switches are a bad design (full motor draw flowing through the switch vs. using relays). There's a write up on window switch cleaning in FAQ/archive. It shows pass switch, but driver's is roughly the same process.
