No Power to fuel pump after rewiring starter. please read
1988 GXL
So i did the auto to manual swap. To make the long story short, I thought i had it wired up right. reverse lights work.(brand NEW) starter turns when i turn the key. Fuel pump Did work when i flip the after market hide switch for it. I said right on all ready to go i unhooked all the wires and crimped them back fastened them up with plastic ties.
I go to make sure the starter still has power and reverse Lights work. I flip the switch for the fuel pump, And nothing. Took my meter checked for power and Ohms. Nothing, My main Question is that , Does the Power wires go anywhere NEar the starter wires Under the car? I checked all fuses in and the main fuses in the engine compartment Just to make sure everything was ok. I been working on it for 3 hours and i am lost on what is going on.. The fuel pump is only 6 months old. TY for any Info you might have!

There are only three conditions in which the fuel pump will run: When the key is turned to start (not just on), or if the AFM is open by 1/8", or if the yellow connector by the passenger strut tower is jumpered.
Check to see if your fuel pump runs with the yellow jumper connected with the key in the on position. Put a volt meter on the pump (don't just listen to it.) If the pump has voltage in this condition, take off your fuel line feed and chcek to see if you have flow (BE CAREFUL!!!!).
