no name exhaust

bought a no name full stainless exhaust system turbo back. is it likely to crack in a million places or be fine? all the welds look legit but the way the y-pipe is joined in the centre looks a bit dodge. if you look down the single entrance where the other two join in they overlap inside not cut on an angle and joined smoothly. (not really sure how to explain what I mean.)

Since you already bought it... Install it and test it.

Are you able to post a picture?

the exhaust shouldnt be that hot by the time it gets to the y pipe....

i'd say DONT wrap the down pipe, less chance of cracking a weld...

I bought my 80mm turbo back from eBay. Paid €114,- shipped from UK... Welds seem nice, piping is very good. I couldn't get my strongest magnet (the kind that takes you like half an hour to remove from a flat surface) to get any attreaction. However, the flanges are rubish. I just got mine, because I needed a quick and cheap solution for my fallen off silencers, so I installed it as a cat-back. Probably gonna use parts of it to make the exhaust system of my current build.

my XS power (basicaly ebay) has been fine, no problems with flanges or anything, again like i said before i wont be doing anything to contain more heat energy in the down pipe due to the fact that it's probably more prone to welds cracking then a quality DP
