Unhappy no idle, lack of power

i have an 88 n/a that i just bought a couple of months ago. it will drive but there is no idle and it is very powerless, it takes a long time to get up to 4th gear and/or 65-70 miles an hour. it is like it wants more fuel, but it has new fuel pump, new fuel filter, everything was cleaned thoroughly. i dont get it. any help would be very greatly apreciated.

check and or pull the injectors and have them profesonaly cleaned and blue printed, make shure you have good flow of fuel at the rail. check your air filtr, intake, and maf for restrictions....did it just start doing this or is this a ongoing prob?

it has had this problem since i got it. i have tried all kinds of things. how much do new injectors usually run? and what sizes would i need. i have plenty of fuel at the rail, and all my air elements seem to be ok. as many suggestions as i can get the better. thanx

Doubt it would be fuel injectors. Even if they were leaking, it should still have power, just it possibly would have hesitation/starting problems. Check compression for starters, it is the foundation of diagnosing problems as such. Once you know you have good compression, then you can start to examine other systems.
