No Idle.... ideas?

well, my car doesn't idle. I figure it's either my TPS or my Dashpot. It idled great for a while. I had to replace my air flow meter, and it still idled at 750 all the time. then about 2 months later, it started having problems idling. now, i have to start holding the gas down while i'm stopped, and sometimes (actually most of the time) when i'm holding the gas pedal perfectly still, the RPMS will go up and down about 100 each way (i.e. 900 - 1100 when i'm holding it at 1000) and not randomly, just up and down, up and down. also, if it helps anyone to get a better idea of the problem, if i'm going any speed, and take it out of gear and just coast, my RPMS will drop until it gets to 0 and my car shuts off. I appreciate any help you guys are usually so willing to give.

Did you set your Idle Speed by grounding the Initial Set Coupler? I found I got Inconsistent Idle speed(s) when I didn't.

What fixed mine? I replaced the firewall to bell housing ground and added an alternator to body ground.
The ECU goes nuts with weak grounds.
It will see enough of the sensors to not throw a check code, but can still can give up on idle.
