no heater control operation

just picked up a 88 turbo 2, none of the heater control work, as in the fan switch does nothing and all the settings none of them work, the illumination lights work. i can feel heat seeping through the defrost vents on the freeway. i checked the big fuse and it wasnt blown, also when i have the key in the ON posistion and turn the fan lever to on the relay starts making a weird clicking noise, it stops when i put the lever to off, what should i check...the relay... or replace the HVAC controls?

Just out of experience id say its the common cold solder joints in the logicon. There is a writeup around here somewhere on how to fix it, it basically consists of pulling the logicon and re soldering it, pretty easy job imo. its a common problem.

if youre unsecussful, pull a logicon from a running car. I had the blower motor stop working, put in a logicon from an S5 vert and it started working perfectly.
