No Heat!!!

ok... i read all the threads about no heat and i am still confused being as i have only owned my rx7 for bout a week now. got it pretty cheap. anyways it blows out air when i turn the fan on but it wont chage temp. saw something on here about the heater core being clogged so i took the hose of the inlet side. hot coolant spilled through. so i put that back on and i pulled off the outlet side. nothin comin through. went into the car and moved the switches around and there is still no fluid movin around. so i put a hose on the outlet side and ran water backwards and it shot out. but when i put the hose on the inlet side nothin happened. So my question is, does coolant continuously flow through, or is there a lever that opens that allows it to flow through. if so where is it and what controls it? is there anyway to open it manually???

does the air mix motor (above the accell pedal) move when you move the temp setting to hot from cold???

If it does not, then your logicon or air mix motor is bad.

If it does, then it might be your heater core.
