no fuel... i think anyways. odd stuff

okay well my buddie just got a 86 na. has good compression, and is getting spark, and im pretty sure its getting fuel?? its odd though, i dont here the fuel pump humming when the key is in the on position, the only time i can hear to humming noise is when i jump the 2 pin connector but the passenger strut tower, but it should turn off in a couple seconds though, but it doesnt, so it should be having trouble building fuel pressure, so i replaced the injector lines, changed the fuel filter, and got new injector grommets. but still doesnt want to start, it doesnt even seem like it is trying. im stump

i dont know why the fuel pump doesnt kick on when i turn the key, its a good fuel pump cause it came outta my old car. and i check the fuel igniton fuse, and its good, so im lost someone give me something else i could try? oh and by the way, it has been sitting for 6 years, just thought id throw that detail out there

Check to see if the fuel pump is actually getting power or check the relay. That's the only thing I can think of at the moment.
