No fuel? BLOWN RELAY OR WHAT? 87 gxl

Well i got the whole engine wired up no vacuum leak's. My freind hooked up the battery cables wrong when i was first going to try to start it and it smoked alittle like something fried and now my gauge cluster does not work. And on top of that im getting spark but no fuel??? I checked the fuel pump it's working just fine and my secondary fuel rail is pressurized so are the injector's not firing or what? Oh god someone please help me i need my car for work and im out of fresh idea's?????

Also i have the ACV and AIR PUMP removed.

When i pulled out the lower no.1 spark plug and cranked it i didnt see a spark but i could hear a ticking? On top of all this at some point in time someone got into the wiring harness and chopped it up so it's making it super hard to figur out? my car ran fine until my old engine blew. we put this one in got the battery cables hooked up wrong now my guage cluster doesnt work and sometimes the car start's right up and then just dies!? i replaced the ecu checked the fuel injector's,checked all the fuses and the main fuses they are all good! i am no electrician soo im stumped on this! AHHHH...
