No fuel after injectors

Guys need your help.

Did a rebuild on my 87 TII, just put the engine back to together and in the car. Plugged in all the connectors from the engine wire harness.
Turned ignition, engine turns over but will not start. Did this a few times and no good.
Checked everything and found that fuel is getting to the injectors but the injectors are not opening. Just got the injectors back from RC so they are good.

Anybody knows a simple way to attack this problem?

Thanks..

check the fuses first then check the injector connectors for power, get an electric tester and check if you have electric current.

When putting back the wire harness I found that it didn't have a ground strap. My brothers car which is a 89 N/A has a ground strap that you put on the ECU.
Wanted to know if the 87 TII suppose to have a ground strap?

You just pull the small plug off the ECU, and with key ON, check for 12v at the plug at each injector wire. Got it. Fine. Don't have it. Bad.

The ECU's internal circuitry is grounded.................by two wires on a ring terminal on top of the rear rotor housing on a S4. No ground. No start. No fuel. No fun.

I bought some new connectors for the injectors.
What would happen if I wired the injectors wrong?

I am still trying to figure out why I am not getting any fuel into the engine.

You'd go to the wiring diagrams that are free and online and compare the wire colors on each injector connector to the wiring diagram. Then you'd turn the key to On and see if you have 12vdc at each of the injector wires at the small plug on the ECU. With a digiatal meter.

If you switched the wires on the injectors, the current going through the injector (essentially an electromagnetic valve) would be pushing the injector closed instead of open.

Maybe someone can take a picture of which wire goes where?

FSM in my sig.

Unless you're sure it's the injectors, double-check if you switched your fuel supply and return hoses, just thought of that.

Checked wiring diagram (see sig. / 86-88 FSM/ wiring/ turbo/ page 19) shows a picture of each connector and their colors. Focus on the primary injectors first, mounted to the center iron, because the secondaries wouldn't be used for starting/low RPM.

Ecu Pins JPG for a first half of 87 attached.

The injector plugs care not which wire is in which socket on the individual plugs.

If you have a late 87 car, then one wire on each injector will be black/yellow and the other wire will Still be the wire color seen going to the ECU i.e Light green/white, light green/black, light green/red and just light green. As seen in my very first jpg above.

Well I found the problem.
Wrong connectors on wrong injectors.
HAILERS, thanks for the wiring diagram. With that I got them connected correctly.

Thanks guys.

Ah shoot. I was starting to bet you got the fuel lines on backwards. Oh well.
