no emmision test where i live :bigthumb:

hi you guys, i'm new to this rotary world nice to meet u all!

where i live, we have no emmision test, and standard procedure that we have to
follow.. we just register our car every renewal and drive


here are some of my questions:

are there garbage i can shave off my fc t2 since we have no emmisions to follow?
no airpump maybe? etc?

You can get rid of/gut your cats, ditch the ACV, air pump, split air pipe, EGR, vac rack, etc. Those are some basic things.

Yup, you can get rid of alot of stuff.. I would get rid of everything dDub specified, along with the BAC, charcoal canistor, purge valve, and cold start assist if it hasn't been removed yet.

BAC is used for idle adjustments on a TII, though, so I'd leave it in.

Charcoal canister and all that goes along with it is preference, it's gone in mine but some people say to never do it. Read up on it before you make your decision.

Is there some sort of write-up or how-to's on remvong the above components? I'd like to remove some of the unecessary stuff from my engine bay also but I don't wan't to mess anything up at the same time.

if you go to rotary ressurections site, he has a write up on how to remove emissions properly, so I would go off of that. It is in the tech section, I think.

i think aaron cake said dont remove you charcoal canister because thats where your gas vents properly. i think he said its kinda dangerous to removde it. try searching for that info.
