Next step: radiator

Time for new parts. Now from what I understand the automatic radiator (what I have now) is the same as a TII and is better than the N/A 5 speed. Mine works fine and keeps me cool. But I'd like to replace it with something better since I'm overhauling the cooling system. If I do buy one it will be the Koyo so I've already picked one out. First question is will it be that much better than the one I already have? Mine works fine but I'm looking to upgrade everything around the engine first then the new motor. I'm already half way done with the hoses and just have water pump(leaks) and radiator left. Koyo worth the $300 over the auto/TII radiator which I hear are pretty good? I searched but I'm looking on improvements over the original equipment. With personal experience of course.

Yes, I just changed mine with the Koyo. I have an 88 RX-7 Vert. Big difference. The temp guage goes up about half the distance that it used to.

pretty sure all fc's used the sam rad, and temp gauge indication during normal driving is not related to how good your radiator is unless the old one was so f#$^ed you were overheating in normal driving.

I'll be installing more accurate gauges also. My engine runs fairly cool anyways but the cooler the better. Thanks for the input.

I think the automatic radiators need to cool the torque converter also, something like that.
