Newbie wants in...

Ok...ok...lets face it...I really want to get a turbo II...yet because the "gagaga" of the rotary is enough to scare me away from high mileage FC's...i really do not know where to start. Here in Chicago, I haven't seen many FC's to begin with...so that being said...help...please...any help is greatly appreciated... where should I look? what should make me run away from the car? and is it worth just getting a rebuild and dropping it into one that i do find?
THanx a bunch

Damn Bill, You paint job looks nice.

So that's sunrise with lexus pearl in it? It's pretty dark for a red.
I prefer the darker paint jobs.

I need to get mine painted and am thinking of a dark gun metalish color.

This is a very comprehensive buying guide for FCs. http://www.aaroncake.net/rx-7/buy2.htm
The top things that spring to mind are: Compression; coolant seals OK, no bubbles in the filler when running, no white smoke; Tranny synchros, grinding; Turbo condition; and all the rest I think Aaron covers.

There's one for $1,500 in MS at the moment with 106k on it. Sounds good. http://www.teamfc3s.org/forum/showth...&threadid=9447

you could just buy a rebuilt tII motor and drop it in a older fc, it wouldnt be that hard given the size of the motor and wouldnt be to expensive
